Gravetye Manor Hotel West Sussex in England wallpapers and photos

This peaceful 16th century Elizabethan stone manor house was built in 1598 and stands in a 35-acre garden and is surrounded by a forest, yet is only 30 miles from London.Captivated by Robinson's house and its setting he had the revolutionary idea of injecting his own exceptional hotel keeping and restaurant standards in to this rural spot. Over 40 years on, Gravetye has lost none of its edge. It has a timeless quality - not trendy, and yet not aged and stuffy. The day rooms are comfortably furnished, and the bedrooms are decorated in traditional English style, furnished with antiques with many thoughtful extras. The Manor is surrounded by 35 acres of renowned historic gardens and set in 1000 acres of ancient and exquisite forestry land. It is hard to believe that this secluded haven of peace is only 12 miles from Gatwick Airport and 30 miles from Hyde Park Corner.
